Yesterday we put up a article about Relapse: Refill with some speculation of Relapse 2 being scrapped but in today’s press release below it was confirmed Relapse 2 will still be coming, but in 2010.

SUPERSTAR HIP-HOP ARTIST RELEASES HIS CHART-TOPPING ALBUM RELAPSE WITH FIVE UNRELEASED TRACKS TO TIDE FANS OVER TILL RELAPSE 2

Multi-platinum hip-hop artist Eminem will release Relapse: Refill on December 21ST, 2009, on Aftermath/Interscope Records. This re-release of Eminem’s chart-topping fifth studio album includes seven bonus tracks, including the single “Forever”, also featuring Drake, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne (previously found on the More Than A Game soundtrack), “Taking My Ball” (also released only with the DJ Hero video game), and five never-before-heard tracks.??
“I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned” Eminem says. “Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year”. Eminem has been busy in the studio creating even more new material since Relapse was released. “I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch. The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.” ??

One of the most anticipated albums of the year, the platinum-selling Relapse entered the Billboard Top 200 album chart at No. 1 in May 2009 and sold more than 618,000 domestic copies in the U.S. in its first week. Relapse is also the top selling hip-hop album of 2009. The first song to debut from the album, “Crack a Bottle”, was released in February and set a first-week record for digital sales at the time, while the first official single and video, “We Made You”, debuted in April. The best-selling hip-hop artist of the SoundScan era, Eminem has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide. His previous studio album, Encore, reached No. 1 and dominated the charts in late 2004. The Grammy-nominated disc was certified quadruple-platinum, generated four Top 40 Hot 100 hits, and has sold more than 11 million copies. In October 2008, Eminem published Eminem: The Way I Am, a compilation of thoughts, stories and memorabilia that entered the New York Times bestseller list at No. 11.

It appears that Eminem’s “Relapse 2” may no longer be coming as promised. According to HDD and Rap-Up Interscope will be re-releasing “Relapse” as “Relapse: Refill” December 22nd equipped with seven new tracks. While seven new tracks isn’t as good as a whole new album, it’s better than nothing. It is not confirmed that “Relapse 2” is scrapped but this whole “Relapse: Refill” re-release makes me believe that it is. Look out for a brand new single and video from Em’s “Relapse: Refill” coming to YourAudioFix soon.

Above Eminem performs “Under The Influence” and after the jump is even more randomly selected videos of Em performing last night I will update the post when more peoples camera footage is available). Eminem performed new and classic tracks. Can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us for Relapse 2, wish I could have went to this last night.

Here is a brand new track from Eminem titled “Taking My Ball” that premiered today on Shade 45 which is from the compilation disc included with DJ Hero: Renegade Edition. As we previously reported back in August Eminem’s “Relapse 2” album was popping up on popular online retailers with a release date of November 17th. Later Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg told XXLMag “Relapse 2 is not dropping November 17th.” While what Paul Rosenberg may have told them may still be true, Wal-Mart is advertising otherwise. A reader emailed me the photo above this morning that was taken inside of a Wal-Mart which is advertising the denied November 17th release date. Was this just an honest mistake on Wal-Mart’s behalf, or is “Relapse 2” actually releasing November 17th?

After Eminem’s appearance on Shade 45 with DJ Whoo Kid, 50 Cent called up and talked to DJ Whoo Kid about his performance tonight at the Thisis50 festival, offering Eminem a movie role for 15 million dollars and more. Part 1 above, part 2 after the jump!

Is Eminem’s Relapse 2 hitting stores November 17th? Relapse 2 recently showed up on Amazon UK with a November 16th release date which would make the US release November 17th because the US usually gets albums one day after the UK. This would also make a lot of sense because November 17th is a Tuesday and most stores begin to sell albums on Tuesdays. Amazon is usually very reliable for album release dates. Are you ready for another dose of Eminem’s relapse this soon?
